| Studio Vivace was
established in May 2005 with the mission of increasing public understanding
and exposure to healing visual arts while integrating it in the
healthcare arena as part of healing process.
We believe that experiencing visual art gives all people the ability
to enjoy their lives more fully, and find a deeper, peaceful understanding
of their inner selves.
We work with artists who explore new ways to create healing art
that reaches out to all people-from children and the elderly, to
the healthy and those challenged by an illness.
Our Vision
- To provide healing artwork to patients, their families, and
medical facilities through the sale and leasing of visual art
in all media-from paintings, prints, and sketches, to sculptures,
ceramics and electronic media.
- To find visual artists whose work has exemplary claming and
therapeutic qualities and whose philosophy is aligned with holistic
health and wellness principles.
- To provide consulting services that incorporate healing artwork
with the interior design of healthcare facilities and other public
settings.
- To provide live events, temporary and traveling exhibits, and
educational programs that give participants the opportunity to
view and learn about healing works of art.
Events and Programs
Events range from rotating gallery shows in medical facilities
to innovative and interactive educational art and humanities programs
according to the needs of patients, staff and visitors. Prior exhibits
included The Artful Program that was displayed at Scripps Memorial
Hospital, La Jolla, and Encinitas City Hall. To ensure the continued
success of this program, a series of classes called Art Talk were
offered to staff and patients. Classes are facilitated by experts
in the field of art and art therapy. More...
